Curriculum
At Ysgol Caer Elen, we aim to provide the best quality of learning and teaching experiences in a stimulating and supportive environment. The school promotes the values of respect and care and high standards and expectations are central to all aspects of school life. Our aim is to provide an education and curriculum that will prepare our pupils for the world of work and to be responsible citizens who will contribute confidently to the economic, digital, social and cultural life of Wales and the World in the 21st Century.
Our aspiration for every child is that they become:
- ambitious, capable learners who are ready to learn throughout their lives;
- ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world;
- enterprising, creative contributors who are ready to play a full part in life and work;
- healthy, confident individuals who are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
WHOLE-SCHOOL APPROACH
As a 3-16 school, we ensure there is a close collaboration between teachers of all age groups. By establishing Professional Learning Communities, teachers have the opportunity to collaborate, plan and share expertise and good practice across the age continuum. This results in ensuring a consistency in the pedagogical approach applied throughout in the school.
